Overview
The action takes place in the 1920s in the mountains of Tajikistan in a small lost village. Habib's shepherd boy has a hard time living with Malika, a strange woman, but the boy does not become embittered and does not harden his soul. He rescues a puppy from a mountain stream, takes care of an injured baby goat, and even tames snakes. Could he have known that he would become a participant in great events?..
